π£ Closing out on my busiest week since I opened my business in 2017….Huge thanks to my clients and students for supporting me. So many topics/discussions across the desk this but what stands out as something that is important in communicating for everyone is a technique call KISS…
“Keep It Short and Simple”
π£ Not to be confused with simplifying the message…. the intent using this technique is to use clear language that does not’ contain any jargon…. colloquialisms.
π£ Take the time to make your message shorter…. it is worth it…your communication will be clear, simple, and concise.
π£ Very helpful for interview preparation, presentations, but also for written communication in the form of essays, reports, emails etc.
A few tips
π Be clear about what your message is.
π Keep your message short, direct, simple, and concise.
π Take the time to plan your message, shortening your message takes time.
π Don’t try and say everything focus on your key message.
π Where appropriate use of an emoji π it can help in conveying your message in a very succinct way.
π Stay out of the weeds – Don’t get bogged down in the detail, you will lose your audience.
