What Leadership Success Looks Like… vs What It Often Feels Like It feels:

💡One of the biggest things I have learned through my leadership coaching is this:

Leaders are under enormous pressure.

💡 They are carrying operational responsibility, financial accountability, staffing challenges, organisational change, performance expectations and constant competing demands.

🥱 And often, they are exhausted.

💡The difficulty is that pressure rarely stays with the leader alone.
It filters down into teams.

💡Employees may not always fully understand the operational pressures their leaders are carrying, but they absolutely feel the emotional impact of it.

💡 Teams do not need perfect leaders.

💡But they do need leaders who are able to support, motivate, inspire, reassure, navigate change, and communicate.

The challenge is that many leaders spend so much time firefighting that they stop stepping back and looking at the role or problem through the eyes of their employees.

One of the key areas I focus on in coaching is helping leaders create more space:

✅ This improves boundaries
✅Improves time management
✅Allows for delegation
✅Provides strategic thinking time
✅Avoids burnout
✅Allows for reflection on their own motivation
✅Plan for success for themselves and their teams
✅Awareness of the emotional tone a leader brings into a team every day.

And sometimes the most effective thing a leader can do is pause long enough to ask:

❓ “What does it feel like to be led by me right now?”

💡 Learning to navigate your first leadership role or a role you have held for a long time can be difficult.

If you are navigating the pressures of leadership and would value a confidential space to reflect, plan and receive practical support, please get in touch I can definitely help.
