This is me….smiling with satisfaction finishing a 10km swim in the beautiful waters of Mallorca…This is my 5th 10km to complete, a distance that is becoming more and more comfortable….
💡 This race is the final race of 6 races….a tally of 26km to complete in a open water swimming competition over 5 days in Mallorca…
💡 I trained for this event and it paid off…..endless lengths in the pool, some of it was fun, lots of it was very boring, but it was done…..
💡This event needs training, swimming buddies, a plan, a goal and a motivation to achieve the end goal. Along with a bit of help and support from my fellow swimmers…..
All of that is exactly the same as trying to achieve:
✅a career goal.
✅a career transition
✅a new job especially when it is the job of your dreams.
✅a difficult task…application form…interview..presentation.
✅success in a new job, especially a leadership one.
All very achievable using the same approach:
✅ a plan.
✅some support.
✅a coach.
✅a goal.
✅some confidence to know you can succeed.
✅and a motivation to succeed.
And to be honest some hard work….!
